Understand the arrangement
Capital for a purpose. Terms you understand.
Inventory, equipment or an operating need may call for additional working capital. The right discussion starts with your sales history, current obligations and how the funds will be used.
A sales-based advance may be structured as a purchase of future receivables; other offers may be loans. The agreement determines the product and your obligations.
01
Review the business
Recent processing statements, bank activity, time in business and existing financing help establish which options may fit.
02
Compare the complete offer
Review the net funds received, total financing cost, fees, estimated duration and any security or guarantee provisions.
03
Plan the cash flow
A percentage of card settlements and a scheduled bank debit work differently. Understand the collection method and any reconciliation or adjustment process.
Before accepting an offer
Ask about more than the funding amount.
Net proceeds
How much reaches your business after fees or payments to existing funders?
Total cost
What is the total amount to be remitted, including fees and applicable financing disclosures?
Collection method
What amount or percentage is collected, from which account and how often?
Changing sales
What happens when revenue falls, and what reconciliation process does the agreement provide?
Early payment
Does paying early change the cost? Are there fees or remaining charges?
Other obligations
Are there collateral, guarantee or restrictions on additional funding?
Funding questions
Start informed.
Funding is a separate arrangement with its own approval, cost and agreement. The proposal should identify the provider, whether the product is a loan or a purchase of future receivables, and how collections interact with your card settlements or bank account.
That depends on the agreement. A percentage of eligible card settlements works differently from a fixed scheduled bank debit. Ask how the amount is calculated, whether reconciliation is available and how to request it. Do not assume that a fixed debit will adjust on its own.
Review the amount your business receives after deductions, total cost, collection schedule, estimated term and applicable financing disclosures. Ask about guarantees, collateral, early-payment treatment and restrictions on additional funding. Compare the effect on operating cash flow, not only the headline funding amount.
Recent processing and bank statements, time in business, existing financing and the intended use of funds are useful starting points. We first discuss the request and the provider’s submission process. Approval, amount, pricing and timing depend on review; sensitive financial documents should not be entered in the general website contact form.
Funding is subject to review and written terms. This page does not constitute a financing offer. AquaPay helps coordinate the inquiry; the applicable agreement identifies the funding provider, product and obligations.
